Forest Akers Golf Course is located just a couple of miles from the main campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. The course consists of two 18-hole courses (East and West), a professional golf shop on each course and a practice facility (on the East Course) with a driving range, practice bunkers and putting green. The course offers some of the amenities of a more exclusive golf club including complimentary water, starter attendants, four tee boxes and a snack bar; but lack in other amentities such as a beverage cart, cart return or bag drop attendees. Considering the overall quality of the course however, the green fees are extremely reasonable. Guests can play 18-holes during the week for $41, and $43 on weekends (fees include a cart).
